Raw materials of pallet block machine

The feedstock for this machine is about three to five millimeters in size and is usually sawdust that has been through a wood crusher or hammer mill crusher. The shavings have been through a wood shaver machine. Alternatively, the raw materials may include some rice hulls and woodchippers.

How does pallet block press machine work?

The pallet block machine processes raw materials into mat blocks of desired shape and size through the steps of raw material supply, heating, molding, cutting, cooling, and collecting. Different models of briquetting machines may utilize different technologies and mechanisms in these steps to meet the production needs of different types of briquettes.

Raw material supply

First, the blocker will supply the required raw materials (e.g. foam granules, polyethylene sheets, foam rolls, etc.) to the machine’s feed system. These raw materials are usually stored in the hopper or feed unit in the form of granules or flakes.

Heating and melting

Once the raw materials enter the pallet block machine, they are fed into the heating zone. In the heating zone, the raw materials are heated to melt or soften them, making them plastic. Different types of briquetting machines may use different heating methods, such as hot air, hot plates, etc.

Molding

After heating and melting, the raw material is fed into a mold or molding unit. The shape and size of the mold depend on the desired final mat form. The raw material is cooled and cured in the mold, gradually forming the desired mat shape.

Cooling and Curing

After cutting and separating, the mat may be further cooled and cured to ensure its stability and structural integrity. The cooling process can be achieved by natural heat dissipation or by an assisted cooling system.

Cutting and Separation

Once the pallets are cured, they are fed into the cutting area. Here, the pallets may be cut by cutting knives, wires, or other cutting mechanisms to split them into the desired size and shape. After cutting, the mat blocks are separated and prepared for the next step in the process.

Raw materials: According to the requirements of the machine to select suitable materials, this process should pay attention to the size of the raw materials and humidity. Therefore, the selected raw materials need to enter the dryer first to control the moisture to less than twelve percent.

Glue mixer: In order to increase the density of the finished product, the raw material needs to be mixed with glue, which is usually urea-formaldehyde resin glue. The purpose of this is to make the finished product stronger and have more load-bearing capacity.

Feed mixing drum: When feeding, in order to prevent the solidification of the raw materials added with glue, it is necessary to add a stirring device in the feeding cylinder, which also makes the materials more uniform.

Heating device: Raw materials are heat and pressure treated to melt or expand and heat molded.

Molding cylinder: The material is shaped through a mold. The shape and size of the pads are determined by the different models of molding cylinders. Common sizes are 75*75, 80*80, 90*90, 90*120, 100*100, 100*115, 100*140, 140*140.

Pallet block cutting machine: The newly made blocks are cooled to cure and stabilize them. The blocks are cut into the desired individual blocks or combinations of blocks by means of a cutting or separating device.

Knife-cutting device: In addition to operation by means of a block cutter, it is also possible to add a stand and two cutters for block cutting directly at the rear of the molding cylinder.
